CCIS was born when Cécile Gareton and Armelle Marçais, two French expatriates, decided that after helping their children go through the college admission process in America, they could be helpful to the international community. They spent 2.5 years at UCLA to become professional College Counselors.

Cecile Gareton advises international students eager to express their academic, artistic or athletic potential in the US, Canada, France or UK. She guides families through the American college application system, from personality assessments to scholarships and financial aid all the way to decision-making process.

Cécile is a UCLA certified College Counselor . She holds a Master in Business from NEOMA Business school , Reims campus, in France. She worked for 10 years as Marketing Manager for CANON, and has lived in France, Australia and England. She currently lives in Los Angeles, with her husband and three children.

Armelle Marçais advises students on their transition from high school to college. She specializes in international students looking to join top American and Canadian universities on the basis of their academic or sports skills, as well as Europe-based students looking for an American experience.

Armelle received her College Counseling Certificate from UCLA and holds a Master in Human Resource Management from Université de Paris Assas. A French and English speaker and bi-national US & French citizen, Armelle currently lives in Los Angeles, California, with her husband and four children.

As College Counselors, we will counsel, advise and guide the student and his/her family through the college application process while conducting business in a fair and equitable manner.

We will tailor our services to meet the student's needs and work together to promote and protect his/her interests, with honesty and mutual respect.

We will work with all students regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic background or sexual orientation.

We will ensure that all students acquire the knowledge and skills that will help them achieve their career goals with the belief of worth, dignity and potential.

We will serve them responsibly by safeguarding their rights and provide them encouragement and support within a nurturing environment.
